I’m a bit embarrased to ask my own mother and my woman gynecologist, but is it to experience a little chest hair? Even at a age? What is supossed to happen to a in her 30s? It doesn’t seem normal for hair just to suddenly sprout. Or is it? Curious.

i have heard that women in their late 20′s and 30′s may get facial hair. due to hormones. so i guess on the chest would be not different. you should look into electrolysis(true permanent hair remover!) . if it is just a few hairs it should not be that expensive! don’t pluck it!!! that can cause more hair to come and possible ingrown hairs, etc.!! electrolysis! :) it works!

It depends whether the chest hair is present since the adolescence or started recently, whether it is 1 or two hair or more. It could be a physiological process, like some women may have receptors in parts of skin on chest, for adrenal androgen hormones, make them grow few on the chest or it could be part of a pathological process including but not limited to genetic disorders, liver disease, as a side effect of some medication etc., which would lead to masculine type of hair. It is always good to get medical advice.

It coule be a decline in estrogen or an endocrine imbalance, particularly thyroid (hypo). If you are experienceing any other symptoms of something wrong like fatigue, missing or irregular periods, dry skin, acne, or anything else out of the ordinary for you, you might want to discuss with your physician and get some routine bloodwork done. It could be nothing or symptomatic of SOMETHING!

I’m younger than you and I have loads of little fine hairs on my chest and stomach! This is completely normal. To get rid of it, you will need to see a doctor about this, and don’t worry, they’ve dealt with more embarrassing situations, and that’s what they’re for! Don’t try to pluck or shave them, it’ll make them stubbly like underarms or a man’s face, and they’ll grow back thicker and darker. The best thing is probably laser treatment to get rid of it for good. It can cost a bit, but some people can get it for free if their condition is really bad! :D
