Author: I am going through IVF. After tests I am considered a good candidate at 25 yrs old with normal test results. We are using IVF due to my husbands very low sperm count. I want to know if IVF will cause dangerous side effects. I have talked with my doctor but I still need more information.

Anything that you put in your body can be bad for you. You must decide if you are willing to take a chance. I was not after hearing of several women dying of ovarian cancer. Is a child that necessary for your happiness? Ask yourself why.
The only real risk is ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). IVF can also cause emotional stress, and financial stress. Counseling can help with that, So you will be fine.
