My husband and I have been married for 3 years, but lately things have been a little…well lets say a really rocky. He told me recently that he doesnt care about me or love me anymore because I nag and argue with him to much, and so I took a friends advice and stopped the nagging and arguing and acted if I didnt care and he didnt bother me. But he keeps doing little immature things to get under my skin so over yesterday he tried to and he did, but I didnt say anything I just had a really dirty look on my face, so he pressured me to tell him what was bothering me I told him nothing because I will not waste my time, energy, or breathe about things that are not going to change. So he got upset because I would not argue and I sat there quietly…I am confused what am I suppose to do. He says he is only with me for the baby but he always starts babying me when I get the I dont care mood and then he goes back to his old ways. He even goes as far as trying to make me jealous. So my question is does he really care or what.? Because if he doesnt why does he go out his way to do these things? Please let me know…Dont say counseling we have been already any other suggestions?

OK. I have to try to make a long story short. My biological mom abused & neglected us @ birth, so we got taken away by the time we were 5 mos. Been with same FOSTER family since then until age 20. Foster family no less abusive.

We’re African American also mixed with Louisiana Creoles (IF & ONLY if the man named on my birth certificate is my biological father). But anyway, My bio mom had 9 kids, & only supposedly 3 or 5 of us are his.

12 yrs. ago, I was in 8th grade, & 1 of my 5 brothers told me that me & my twin sister don’t have the same dad as him because we’re not light-skinned. Our complexion is brown. The man named on our birth certificate is the same man that our mom has been married to for many yrs. This brother & other siblings described our so-called REAL father to be grotesque-looking & in a wheelchair with BIG eyes, brown skin, & crusty-nappy hair (they said that). Me & my twin sister have a smooth brown complexion with silky, thick, wavy hair. We have high cheekbones & people mistake us for being mixed with Asian. We have slanted eyes, just like my mom’s husband (man on birth certificate). He’s French & Native American Indian with straight, silky hair, an olive complexion like a Chinese person, & when he fought in the Vietnam war, they mistook him for the Vietnamese people. He was 32, & my mom was 15 when they got together. She was like 35, & he was 52 when they had us. Our mom is brown-skinned with crusty nappy hair & big, bubbly eyes that look like they’re about to pop out of the socket. But she has hazel/light brown, BEAUTIFUL eyes. We have dark brown eyes. I can’t tell my supposed dad’s eye color because he’s so old that you can’t tell, but they’re sort of bluish. He’s 77 now.

Many people say that if you don’t have a father (whether he’s deceased or you don’t know who he is), then that makes you a bastard. I don’t want to feel like a bastard. My mom is schizophrenic, & 1/2 of us 9 kids follow her delusions like it’s a religion or something. I’m 1 of them who doesn’t.

My mom’s husband (man on our birth certificate) has daughters for another woman, before our mom, & they’re brown-skinned.

The family makes up too many rumors, & I’m tired of it. There’s a rumor that us brown & dark-skinned kids are color-struck & jealous of the light-skinned kids, which is NOT the case.

With me, I don’t care about the skin color. I just need to know who my father REALLY is. We DO look 1/2-way like the man on our birth certificate. Why can’t we be his children & take after our mom’s complexion, like our other 1/2 sister from previous marriage did?

I’m confused about who my real father is, & I’m frustrated, angry, & sad.

Bad enough, we had a hard childhood in the foster home, being abused & tortured, & the foster mom adopted her cousin’s daughter. So, that daughter ran around school, telling everyone that we don’t know who our real parents are. Me & my twin sister got tired of that being thrown in our faces. Kids saying, “@ least I know who my REAL mama is!”

& the foster mom kept throwing in my face, “I should’ve left you nasty, filthy, dirty babies where I found y’all. Y’all were so nasty & dirty that the SOCIAL WORKERS were afraid to touch y’all!”

I didn’t get to see my real mom until I turned 18, & the social worker & foster mom got angry & tried to say we “ran away”. How, & I was a legal adult, attending college?

If the man named on our birth certificate is NOT my real father, then why am I getting Social Security Survivor’s benefits & medicare off of him? Wouldn’t that be illegal if I’m not his real child?

I don’t want to appear to be doing anything illegal. We were told all throughout foster care (same family for about 20 yrs.) that “both” parents on birth certificate are our real parents.

Now, so many mixed up stories. I wish I could get a DNA test, but the WHOLE family would start tripping. I’m tired of them falsely accusing me of being color-struck, when I’m truly NOT. If the man on our birth certificate is really our dad, then I have no control over him being light-skinned. My mom chose him. Not us.

Me & 1 of my brothers just had a discussion about the “daddy” subject. THEY always tease me & rub it in my face about the man not being me & my twin sister’s daddy.

Also, my birth mom is SO delusional that she’s trying to make it like everything typed on our birth certificate is WRONG. How could federal documents make the same mistake twice?

I was born Aug. 25, 1983 @ 10:23 PM, & my twin sister was born 13 min. later. The certificate says we’re identical, & so did foster family & social workers. Birth mom wants to say we’re fraternal, & that our b-day is on the 24th, & not the 25th. She’s saying that to try to be funny because it was our 18th b-day. Aug. 25, 2001 when my fav. singer Aaliyah died in a plane crash.

& they just don’t want our b-day to be associated with her death. We can’t help if the singer died ON our

As I said, my mom is delusional. She’s 60 yrs. old & starts rumors about her own kids, just to get us to hate each other. She wants to get the light-skinned kids to have war with the darker-skinned kids, like me. Now, I’m 25 with a college degree. These rumors hurt me, & I feel like it’s unfair that people are calling me immature for wanting to know the true facts of my life.

I haven’t seen my birth mom UNTIL age 18. Not even any photos! Foster & birth mom have been beefing with (hating) each other for yrs. So, the foster mom said our bio mom’s rights were taken away from us when we were 2 yrs. old. I don’t remember that, @ 2 yrs. old. I’m very sad right now, & I feel like crying. My details were longer than I anticipated. Sorry about that, but please help me. Give me some advice & REASSURE me that there’s nothing wrong with me wanting to know who my real father is.

ok, while my sister was pregnant she had a list of rules that everyone must follow. She told the family that if we want to buy her child a gift, we must ask permission 1st or she will throw it away (she said “no stupid gifts”). Then she told everyone on our side of the family that they werent allowed to touch the baby because she didnt want our skin to touch her child’s skin. She waited 3 months to invite me to see her daughter but her inlaws was invited right away…. When i said that i was going to get her a pregnancy pillow, she said “what did i say about buying stupid gift, get my approval 1st”….
So i backed off, I will always care about my sister and my niece but i have no interest in meeting my niece or seeing my sister. She made everyone so paranoid with all her rules, i dont care to come around. I dont feel like kissing a grown woman‘s A**…. I have one a** to kiss and that’s my wife’s…. Am i being cold?

so, my neice’s umbilical cord was bleeding today. (she’s 12 days old)
on monday i was talking to my babys nurse (my baby is now 6 days old), and they said when taking care of the cord to pull backthe skin to get the very stump. they didnt tell my sister this, but they also mentioned someting to me about it getting connected to the skin or something like that.
i was wondering what that bleeding was on my neice, and what were they talking about it being connected? what happens if that happens and how do you know?

I’m really picky when it comes to what I’ll put on my baby’s skin. I don’t want anything with sodium benzoate (carcinogen) in it- alot of organic products have that in their list of ingredients.
I like Earth Mama Baby Angel’s product ingredients. However, I’ve heard that essential oils in baby products could be irritating (don’t know if it’s true or not). Otopia claims to have all the things I like, but NOWHERE on their website lists the ingredients and I don’t want to spend a bunch of money online buying things I won’t want when they get to my house..
Does anyone have any opinions on essential oils in baby products or organic product buying tips?
